		<description>That is a good point. I'm sure McCain supports bringing some non-insiders to Washington. But I'm not so sure he is behind the idea of an infusion of youth, especially in the White House, especially while we're at war. This is partly what has allowed him to be so dismissive of and disrespectful to Obama.

I agree with you, I think she energizes the ticket, and will continue to generate a lot of attention. I'm less convinced now that this will end up being really helpful for McCain (and I don't think his people vetted her well enough), but clearly he had to stir things up.</description>

And though you got off a good line, "Personally, I find this to be true of a lot of Republicans," I thought you missed a major Palin motivator: how many Republicans, Democrats too, are going to tune in events just to watch her? If women wanted to sleep with Clinton (and did) and men wanted to have a beer with Clinton, then well, it seems in some small way we're back where we were 12 years ago.</description>
